Become a Certified Facilitator of The Resilience Toolkit

The Resilience Toolkit Facilitator Certification program is a rich experiential process that gives you the tools to take The Toolkit into the world. In a 100% online format, the cohort-based program consists of recorded and live lectures, small group mentoring and discussion, peer and independent practice sessions, suggested reading and reflective writing, supervised teaching, and case consultation. Interactive and cooperative learning fosters responsibility, self-awareness, and mastery. Please click here and carefully review the program requirements before enrolling.

The Spring 2021 session of The Resilience Toolkit Facilitator Certification program has a maximum cohort size of 18 trainees, divided into mini-cohorts with a maximum of 6 trainees per group. Two mini-cohorts will meet at timings more convenient to the Americas and one mini-cohort will meet at timings more convenient to Africa and Europe. Weekend workshops will be held jointly at timings reasonable to all time zones.

Americas (2 mini-cohorts of 6 trainees each)

– 0100-0230 UTC on 27 January, 10 February, 24 February

(1700-1830 PST on 26 January, 9 February, 23 February)

– 0000-0130 UTC on 24 March, 7 April, 21 April, 5 May, 19 May

(1700-1830 PDT on 23 March, 6 April, 20 April, 4 May, 18 May)

Africa/Europe (1 mini-cohort of 6 trainees)

– 1700-1830 UTC on 26 January, 9 February, 23 February, 23 March

– 1600-1730 UTC on 6 April, 20 April, 4 May, 18 May

PROGRAM COSTS AND PAYMENT

Deposit and tuition payments may be made in USD or GBP. Please read the payment options below for each currency.

US: Total $3,350 USD

Payment plans

4-month plan:

$980 USD deposit due on registration

$790 USD per month for three months

6-month plan:

$980 USD deposit due on registration

$474 USD per month for five months

CEU certificate cost is $30 USD for weekend workshops (optional)

Deposit may be paid via credit card (3.5% surcharge) or Eventbrite (surcharge) link at bottom of page.

Remaining payments may be made via credit card (with 3.5% surcharge) or check.

* Cancellation Policy: Registration fee is fully refundable prior to beginning program ONLY with at least 10 day written notice, minus a $100 USD administration fee.

* Withdrawal Policy: Participants who cancel with less than 10-day notice or withdraw early from the program will receive a prorated refund based on the number of weeks remaining at the point of withdrawal at $197 USD per week, minus an early withdrawal fee of 10% of the remaining balance.

* Program Extension Policy: Participants who do not complete the program in 18 weeks, will incur a $200 USD monthly charge until program completion or withdrawal, whichever comes first. The monthly charge will not be prorated. If the Certification Trainer determines that extra supervisions are needed for the trainee to meet basic competency, the extra supervisions will be billed at $175/hour.

FINALIZING PROGRAM ENROLLMENT

Subsequent to providing your deposit, you will receive an email from admin@theresiliencetoolkit.co with an Enrollment Form, Tuition Agreement, CC authorization form, and instructions for submitting your completed Toolkit Workbook or reflective journal.

All materials must be submitted within 2 weeks of paying your deposit to reserve your spot in the program unless other arrangements have been made.

FACULTY

Nkem Ndefo, MSN, CNM, RN, is the creator of The Resilience Toolkit and founder of Lumos Transforms. She is a skilled practitioner, dynamic speaker, and valued strategist. She is known for her unique ability to connect with people of all types by holding powerful healing spaces, weaving complex concepts into accessible narratives, and creating synergistic and collaborative learning communities that nourish people’s innate capacity for healing, wellness, and connection.

Mary P. Shriver, CMT, is a Resilience Toolkit Certification Trainer, Certified Provider of Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®), Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Compassion Fatigue Educator, and holds a B.S. in Psychology from Denison University. Additional training includes the Trauma Resilience Model and Community Resilience Model through the Trauma Resource Institute, Motivational Interviewing for Behavior Change (MINT), and Level 1 Resistance Flexibility with Bob Cooley.

Devika Shankar is a Resilience Toolkit Certification Mentor, transnational feminist, organizer, and passionate advocate for justice. For over 12 years, Devika has worked with youth, women of color, immigrant, and LGBTQ survivors  providing counseling, support services, and advocacy, and over the past 4 years, has worked with individuals who do harm in relationships, as well.

Arrowyn Ambrose is a Resilience Toolkit Certification Mentor, Certified Council Trainer, Certified Teaching Artist, and Certified Race Equity and Healing Justice Facilitator. She has studied Viola Spolion’s long-form organic improvisation and creative writing. With a background in the creative and performing arts, Arrowyn believes in the healing power of story and is passionate about ethical storytelling.
