From Survival to Stability – 10:00am PT on Sundays with Mikaela
September 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Many people are living under sustained pressure without enough time, support, or recovery. Over time, this can look like staying alert all the time, pushing through exhaustion, over-functioning for others, shutting down, reacting more strongly than intended, or struggling to stay connected in relationships, high-responsibility roles, caregiving, leadership, and social change work.
Many of these responses began as intelligent ways of surviving sustained stress, uncertainty, and overwhelm. But when survival responses become chronic, they can narrow our capacity to rest, relate, recover, and respond with choice.
Survival to Stability is a live 3-part introduction to the Lumos Transforms Resilience Toolkit — a practical, trauma-informed approach that combines guided practice, reflection, and real-life application to help people recognize and work with survival responses as they happen, especially in moments where insight alone is often not enough to change the pattern.
3 Sundays: September 6th, 13th and 20th at 10:00am-12:00pm PST
Across three weekly sessions, participants gradually build the ability to recognize survival patterns as they happen and develop more steadiness, flexibility, and choice under pressure. The series supports people in staying more connected to themselves and others while moving through demanding lives and changing conditions.
Participants will:
- Learn practical tools for working with stress, overwhelm, and survival responses
- Better understand how survival patterns shape emotions, relationships, and decision-making
- Practice ways to stay more connected during conflict, care work, and uncertainty
- Explore how embodied stabilization can support relationships, collaboration, demanding professional roles, and sustainable participation in change work
This series is open to anyone seeking a more grounded and sustainable way of relating to stress, trauma, and uncertainty. No prior experience is needed.
For those wanting continued practice and community support after the series, the ARC Practice Group offers an ongoing space to deepen and integrate the work. Professionals interested in bringing the Resilience Toolkit into their organizations or communities can also explore the Facilitator Certification Program.
A note about pricing
Lumos uses a sliding-scale pricing model rooted in class solidarity, mutual care, and shared access. We recognize that people are navigating very different financial realities, and we invite participants to choose the rate that best reflects their current circumstances. Higher-tier registrations help sustain the work and support lower-cost and scholarship participation.
Actual Cost – $160*
This rate reflects the full cost of offering the program, including fair wages for facilitators and staff. Choose this rate if you have stable income, access to savings or family wealth, or if your registration is supported by an employer or organization.
[SOLD OUT] Partially Supported – $80*
Choose this rate if paying the full cost would create financial strain, or if you have limited disposable income, irregular work, or limited financial support.
[SOLD OUT] Fully Supported – Free†
This community care scholarship is for people experiencing financial hardship, including difficulty meeting basic needs such as housing, food, or healthcare. Scholarship participants are essential to the integrity of the learning space and community. To register for a Fully Supported spot, you must first join the virtual Lumos Community, where you can easily request a fully supported spot. Community membership is low cost, and your first month is free.
Notes
*Course registration does not include membership to the virtual Lumos Community.
†Free spots are only available to community members.
Cancellation Policy
Refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours before the series begins. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be transferred to the next Survival to Stability series.
